Job Description

Position: Purchase Manager (Raw Material Procurement) FMCG

Industries: FMCG - Chemical (Beauty & Cosmetics, Soap & Detergents, Personal Care & Hygiene Only)

• Experience: Minimum 5 years
• Salary: 7.50 - 10 LPA
• Gender: Male Preferred
• Location: IMT, Faridabad (Sec-69)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Raw Material Procurement and Chemical Specialist with experience in organic/inorganic chemicals, surfactants, emulsifiers, acids, perfumes, colors etc. for our Home Care Products manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchase and procurement of raw materials, ensuring quality control, and supporting production processes through effective supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Manage: Complete Day to Day purchases.
• Handle: New Vendor Development, NPI, managing existing vendors, Sourcing & evaluation.
• Control: Price Control on input materials including Assets & Utilities.
• Plan: Effective cost control methods to check input costs as well as inflations.
• Negotiate: Technical and commercial terms with vendors as per company norms.
• Monitor: Quarterly, monthly & weekly purchase plans.
• Volume: Manage purchase volume of over 5 crores monthly.
• Reconcile: Stock reconciliation at plants.
• ERP Experience: Familiar with SAP or similar ERP and basic ERP reports.

Raw Material Procurement

• Source and purchase raw materials essential for the production of Home Care Products.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective, high-quality raw materials.
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Vendor Management

• New Vendor Development, Sourcing & evaluation.
• Knowledge of different FMCG/Pharma vendors and industry trends.
• Identification of potential suppliers.
• Comparison & evaluation of terms from different suppliers.
• Manage existing vendor base with price control.

Negotiation

• Excellent negotiation skills with different categories of vendors.
• Negotiate commercial terms as per quarterly budget.
• Define major procurement articles & plan measures for cost control.

Inventory Management

• Monitor Raw material Inventory in multiple manufacturing units.
• Track material deliveries to manufacturing units.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and spot bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with departments to monitor quality of products delivered.

Reporting

• Periodic Inventory status reports.
• Re-order Level reports.
• Data maintenance of all vendor records.
• Budgeting reports & Monthly reviews.
