Job description

Interview: Required, conducted in English

• Evaluate AI-generated Punjabi content for linguistic accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, cultural appropriateness, and prompt adherence
• Review and rank multiple AI-generated Punjabi responses based on correctness, naturalness, clarity, tone match, cultural relevance, and overall quality
• Identify errors involving meaning shifts, mistranslations, awkward literal translations, inappropriate register, ambiguity, unsupported claims, logical inconsistencies, and culturally mismatched phrasing
• Create high-quality Punjabi prompts, gold-standard answers, rewrites, and reference content for AI training across general knowledge, education, customer support, conversational writing, and other relevant domains
• Assess AI-generated content for correct use of formal and informal language, dialect variation, script requirements, and adaptation for audiences in India, Pakistan, and Punjabi diaspora communities
• Review Punjabi content written in Gurmukhi and/or Shahmukhi according to the contributor s reading and writing proficiency
• Fact-check claims when needed and evaluate whether AI responses are reliable, safe, and aligned with the requested task
• Provide detailed written feedback in English explaining identified language issues, why they matter, and how outputs can be improved
• Review grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, syntax, terminology, idiomatic usage, style, and readability in AI-generated Punjabi content
• Evaluate step-by-step AI reasoning for logical consistency, completeness, relevance, and alignment with the requested prompt
• Detect unsafe, misleading, biased, hallucinated, or policy-risk language in AI-generated outputs
• Compare alternative AI responses and document strengths, weaknesses, quality gaps, and recommended improvements
• Create and validate evaluation tasks that test AI performance across different writing styles, registers, cultural contexts, scripts, and use cases
• Support model improvement through annotation workflows, response ranking, quality assurance reviews, and structured feedback documentation
• Help ensure AI-generated Punjabi content is natural, reliable, culturally accurate, clearly written, and appropriate for its intended audience

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Linguistics, Punjabi/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered
• Native or near-native Punjabi proficiency, with strong reading and writing ability required
• Ability to read and write Gurmukhi, Shahmukhi, or both required; candidates should specify the script(s) they can use
• Professional English proficiency at C1 level or above, with the ability to understand guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English
• Strong working experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or other language-focused work
• Deep understanding of Punjabi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, style, terminology, and idiomatic expression
• Strong ability to explain linguistic errors, meaning issues, tone mismatches, cultural concerns, script-related issues, and recommended corrections clearly
• Comfortable working across formal and informal registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation for India, Pakistan, and Punjabi diaspora communities
• High attention to detail when identifying subtle meaning shifts, mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, factual hallucinations, and cultural mismatches
• Strong analytical judgment when evaluating AI-generated language quality, reasoning quality, factual reliability, and instruction adherence
• Excellent written communication skills in Punjabi and English
• Familiarity with translation quality review, proofreading, copyediting, localization, fact-checking, grammar and style review, and tone/register assessment preferred
• Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation strongly preferred
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms preferred
• Reliable remote-work practices, confidentiality handling, self-direction, and consistency across structured evaluation workflows required
