Job summary

The Hiring Club in Mumbai invites applications for a psychiatrist to join our centre. The role entails obtaining patient history, performing mental status exams, diagnosing conditions, and developing holistic, multidisciplinary treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

You will provide medication management, psychotherapy (where applicable), and collaborate with schools, social services, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and referrals as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain history, perform mental status examination and diagnose clients visiting the institute.
  • Develop, discuss and implement the holistic, multi-disciplinary plan with clients participation
  • Provide treatment plans, therapeutic strategies as per the needs of clients.
  • Prescribe medication to treat the mental health issue.
  • Counsel patients and their family members to determine long-term and short-term goals and to decide when psychiatric medication may be appropriate or necessary.
  • Conduct diagnosis and evaluate the result to give attention to the physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive, educational, family, peer, and social components for the patients condition.
  • Conduct individual, group, or family psychotherapy; medication; and/or consultation with other physicians or professionals from schools, juvenile courts, social agencies, or other community organizations to get a complete diagnosis of the case at hand.
  • Partake & lead in multi-disciplinary case discussions with the team on a regular basis.
  • Make appropriate internal references for allied therapists within the centre.
  • Confidential record maintenance of all standardised tests or screening reports of each client. Maintain Client demographics.
  • Conduct workshops, visit doctor colleagues, mental health talks, visit cells, etc in effort to spread awareness on mental health and to help increase footfall to the Centre.
  • Write articles, interact with journalists for articles to be published in Newspapers, social media, institute's content library.
  • Support and provide inputs in content sourcing and development for workshops, social media platforms, web-sites etc.
  • Collaborate with the functional teams and institutes strategy to increase no. of lives touched.
  • Connect with the medical and mental health fraternity to represent institute. and contribute in increasing no. of referrals at institute.
