Responsibilities

  • Assessment and evaluation of developmental, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs to inform therapy plans.
  • Diagnosis and treatment planning with interdisciplinary teams for individualized plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions (play therapy, behavioural therapy, social skills training, cognitive training, parent-child interaction therapy).
  • Family support, counselling and psychoeducation for parents and caregivers.
  • Coordinate with special educators, paediatricians, SLPs, OT and other professionals to coordinate services.
  • Contribute to design, implementation, and evaluation of early intervention programs.
  • Document assessments and treatments per in-house policies and prepare quarterly reports.
  • Coordinate with child protection workers and legal support.
  • Organize educational programs for adolescents about risks and behavior adjustment.
  • Teach psychology concepts to develop soft and life skills.
  • Address depression, bullying, mental health issues, and learning difficulties in children.
  • Advocacy and community outreach to raise awareness of early intervention services.

Job Description

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conductingcomprehensive psychological assessments to identify developmental, cognitive,emotional, and behavioural needs of children to prepare therapy plans .
  • Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Collaboratingwith interdisciplinary teams to formulate diagnoses and develop individualizedtreatment plans tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges.
  • Intervention and Therapy: Providingevidence-based interventions, such as play therapy, behavioural therapy, socialskills training, cognitive training and parent-child interaction therapy, tosupport children's development and address their specific needs.
  • Family Support and Education: Offering guidance,counselling, and psychoeducation to parents and caregivers on how to supporttheir child's development, manage challenging behaviours, and promote positiveparent-child relationships.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Working closelywith special educators, paediatricians, speech-language pathologists,occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate services andensure holistic support for children and families.
  • Program Development and Evaluation: Contributingto the design, implementation, and evaluation of early intervention programsaimed at improving outcomes for young children and their families.
  • Documentation and recording of assessment and treatments according to in house policies and making quarterly basedevaluation reports to monitor them.
  • Coordinate with child protection workers, legalsupport and child protection office.
  • Organize educational programs to informadolescents or teenagers about the repercussions of high-risk behaviours andways to adjust to them.
  • Using various schools of psychology to teachsoft and life skills.
  • Psychologistsplay an important role in sex education.
  • Address issues such as depression, bullying,various mental health issues, learning difficulties and family issues relatedto children by providing appropriate intervention.
  • Advocacy and Community Outreach: Advocating forthe needs of young children with developmental concerns and raising awarenessabout the importance of early intervention services within the community. Thisinclude
