Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Chennai invites a Protection Testing and Commissioning Engineer to lead testing and commissioning on medium to high complexity projects, and to troubleshoot Bay level secondary equipment for domestic customers.

Candidates must understand stability concepts (Line, Transformer & Bus Bar) and Line Differential end-to-end testing, work autonomously yet as part of a team, and be willing to travel 100% of the time, adhering to QA/QC standards and safety principles.

Protection testing and Commissioning Engineer

• Act as Testing & commissioningen engineer for medium to high complex projects.
• Responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting of Bay level secondary equipments for domestic customers.
• Should know Concept of stability (Line, Transformer & Bus Bar)
• Line Differential - End to End test.
• Manages the commissioning activities to ensure quality, timely delivery within targeted costs.
• Ensures implementation design changes in commissioning and the production of Red Marked up and as built project documentation.
• Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains good communication and collaboration with stake holders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a part of team.
• 100% of the role needs travelling and willingness to travel extensively, including assignments arranged at short notice and on an irregular basis.
