Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Testing & commissioning engineer to lead commissioning and troubleshooting for medium to high complexity projects in Chennai. You will work with Bay level secondary equipment, ensure quality deliverables, and coordinate with stakeholders across domestic customers.

The role requires strong fault analysis skills, understanding line, transformer and bus bar stability, and willingness to travel extensively. Adherence to QA/QC standards and safety values is essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as Testing & commissioning engineer for medium to high complex projects.
• Commissioning and troubleshooting of Bay level secondary equipment for domestic customers.
• Understand concept of stability (Line, Transformer & Bus Bar).
• Perform fault analysis.
• Line Differential - End to End test.
• Manage commissioning activities to ensure quality and timely delivery within costs.
• Implement design changes in commissioning and produce red-marked up and as-built documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of project processes, products, and systems.
• Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.
• Maintain good communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including short-notice and irregular assignments.
