Adani Group in Gujarat seeks an experienced Electrical Protection Engineer to manage transmission substation protection and related systems. You will work on relay settings, IED configurations, and protection schemes for HV networks, ensuring safe operation and high reliability, including testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Experience with transmission substation configurations and electrical/protection basics.
• Understanding substation equipment operations with maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Hands-on work with CRP, IED configuration, and wiring schemes.
• Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of transmission protection for new projects and O&M.
• Modify settings and configurations per guidance.
• Relay setting calculations and coordination experience.
• Power system studies: load flow and transient analysis.
• Exposure to HV systems and protection above 132 kV.
• Protection of transformers and reactors; relay setting review.
• Monitor substation events and prepare RCA/troubleshooting reports.
• Data collection for RCA, reporting and troubleshooting.
• IMS support and maintaining databases.
• Observe safety procedures in live switchyards.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities

• Experience of various transmission substation configurations, and basics of electrical and protection for all elements.
• Understanding of Substation equipment and their operations with basic maintenance & condition monitoring.
• Understanding hands-on experience of CRP scheme, IED configuration, Handson working with IEDs, scheme wiring and equipment schemes.
• Testing, Commissioning, and troubleshooting of Transmission Protection system and scheme for new projects and O&M including Factory Inspection as per guidance.
• Implement modification for setting, configuration, scheme as per guidance.
• Hands-on experience of relay setting calculation and coordination.
• Experience of Power system study, Load flow study, Transient study.
• Exposure of High voltage system and equipment protection above the 132KV system.
• Power Transformer, Reactor protection and relay setting review.
• Daily / routine monitoring of substation events and occurrence and preparing relevant report / data to support RCA & Troubleshooting.
• Data collection for Occurrence Analysis (RCA), Reporting, Trouble shooting.
• Support for IMS, Reporting and maintaining relevant database.
• Required exposure, understanding and ability to observe safety aspects and procedures to carryout activities in live switchyard.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E. (Electrical) with 7 to 15 years of Experience, preferably in Electrical and Protection systems

Experiences

• Understanding of Electrical EHV substation, EHV Transmission line, Power plants. plant related equipment and Auxiliaries. Understanding philosophy, application, and technology for Electrical Protection.
• Working knowledge: PS Cad, PSSE, My power will be an additional advantage.
• Position holder may require travelling at site locations as per requirement.
