Job summary

Tunga Aerospace Industries in Tamil Nadu invites applications for a Propulsion Engineer (0–3 years) to support UAV propulsion development in Thiruporur.

You will run thrust stands, log electrical data, assist powertrain integration, and help with performance tracking, testing batteries, and compliance with aerospace standards.

The role requires hands-on skills in MATLAB, SolidWorks, data logging in Excel, and an engineering bachelor’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of electric motors, batteries, power systems and data logging.
• Familiarity with UAV propulsion profiles and mission requirements.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD).

Responsibilities

• Operate thrust stands for KV measurement, torque and efficiency mapping.
• Log current, voltage and power data during tests.
• Assist in engine run-ins and powertrain hardware assembly.
• Track performance, data collection and reporting for validation.

Preferred Experience

• Relevant experience in propulsion, EV systems, or aerospace powertrain engineering.
• Strong academic projects or internships in electric motors, batteries, or UAV propulsion systems.
