Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Proposal Engineer to partner with regional sales teams, understand customer requirements, and translate them into technically sound and commercial proposals.

You will review RFQs, specs, and datasheets to develop optimal solutions, collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and suppliers, and ensure compliance with standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in proposal engineering, application engineering, project engineering, or process instrumentation domains
• Knowledge of flow measurement, metering systems, analyzers, instrumentation, or related automation solutions
• Understanding of applicable industry codes, standards, and technical specifications
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, datasheets, RFQs, and customer specifications
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Ensure adherence to applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and commercial requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance proposal quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.
• Maintain proposal documentation and records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Emerson's trade compliance, ethics, and corporate governance requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need

• Familiarity with installation, commissioning, calibration, and field instrumentation practices.
• Prior experience working with global customers and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to ERP, CRM, or proposal management tools.
