Job summary

MRI Software in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Property Accountant IV to join a team of property accountants and assistants. You will participate in 1:1 check-ins, answer questions, review work completed, and communicate status to Management in NA.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting with knowledge of property accounting, GAAP, and strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills. Flexible, hybrid work with a performance bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience with exposure to property accounting and GAAP.
• Knowledge of financial reporting processes and principles.
• Strong MS Office and SaaS portals usage for data capture and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Resolve team queries related to data entry and bank statements.
• Monitor and report on work completed by team members.
• Regularly update management on status and needs.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare financial reporting packages.

Position Overview:

The role of the Senior Property Accountant IV is to work with a team of property accountants and accounting assistants. This will include 1:1 check-in’s, answering questions, reviewing work completed and communicating status and/or needs to Management in NA.

Responsibilities:

• Resolving team queries regards to Data entry, bank statements etc.
• Keeping a tab of work completed by team members
• Regular check and communication the status update with the Management
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Preparing financial reporting packages

Knowledge and Skills:

• 2+ years overall accounting experience
• Knowledge of property accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Technical accounting skills
• Previous experience of general accounting, GAAP
• Strong skills with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Adept at using technology including a variety of software/online portals/SaaS systems to capture, analyse and record information
• Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
• Willing to work extended time frames during month-end close and any other periods of critical financial activities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, planning, organizing, scheduling and monitoring
• Strong initiative, problem analysis and problem-solving skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
