IUCAA invites applications for Project Postdoctoral Fellow positions under the ISRO-sponsored AstroSat Science Support Cell. The appointee will spend half time on ASSC activities and the other half on personal research, with a preference for AstroSat data analysis experience.

Job Description

Candidates are invited to apply for postdoctoral positions at the ISRO sponsored AstroSat Science Support Cell (ASSC) hosted at IUCAA. The position requires 50% of the time for ASSC activities which include answering questions in the help desk, maintaining publication records among other activities. The remaining 50% may be spent on individual's research. Candidates with experience in AstroSat data analysis will be preferred.. The positions are till March 31st 2027 and are not extendable. The application deadline is October 09, 2026 and the successful candidate will be required to join on or before November 1, 2026. During the time of joining, the candidate must either have a Ph.D. degree or submitted the Ph.D. thesis to the University.
