Job summary

St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru is seeking a Project Nurse to support a clinical study.

The nurse will assist in patient screening, enrolment, informed consent procedures, follow-up visits, sample collection, patient counselling, and monitoring during the study period. Responsibilities include coordinating patient visits, aiding adverse event reporting, data entry in REDCap after training, and ensuring participant retention and timely completion of procedures.

Qualifications

• Four-year nursing course (B.Sc. Nursing) with a minimum of second class or equivalent CGPA from a recognized institute.
• GNM with Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing/equivalent as alternative qualifications per project notifications.
• Preferred language proficiency includes English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient screening, enrolment, informed consent procedures, follow-up visits and monitoring during the study period.
• Coordinate patient visits and assist in adverse event reporting.
• Capture data in REDCap after requisite training.
• Maintain regular contact with participants and ensure attendance at scheduled visits.
• Collect blood and other required study samples as per protocol.
• Provide patient counselling and address routine study-related queries.

Job description

The nurse will assist in patient screening, enrolment, informed consent procedures, follow-up visits, sample collection, patient counselling, and monitoring during the study period. The patient reported outcome measures will also be coordinated by her/him. Responsibilities also include coordinating patient visits, assisting in adverse event reporting. The Project Nurse will play an important role in patient care, participant retention, and timely completion of study-related procedures throughout the project duration. He/she will capture data in the redcap after requisite training.

Salary : Rs. 36,400/- pm

• Eligible participants in the study.
• Assist in explaining the study and obtaining informed consent from participants.
• Coordinate and assist patients during scheduled follow-up visits.
• Collect blood and other required study samples as per the study protocol.
• Provide patient counselling and address routine study-related queries.
• Coordinate and record patient-reported outcome measures during the study.
• Monitor participants during study visits and inform the study team of any concerns or changes in their condition.
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and reporting adverse events and other safety-related issues.
• Maintain regular contact with participants and help ensure that they attend their scheduled visits.
• Enter study-related data in REDCap after receiving the required training.
• Maintain accurate and timely study records and ensure that all required procedures are completed as per the Project
