Job summary

Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai (Mahim) invites applications for a Project Nurse III on a yearly fixed-term contract. The post requires a B.Sc Nursing and is open to freshers.

You will coordinate the implementation of infection prevention and control policies, support the IPCC with outbreak investigations, train healthcare workers, monitor HAIs, and conduct audits on hand hygiene, waste management, injection safety, and environmental cleaning across sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinated the implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and protocols across clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Collaborated with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPCC) in outbreak investigations, risk assessments, and identification of potential infection hazards related to equipment and practices.
• Conducted periodic training sessions on infection prevention and control practices for healthcare workers at the primary site and project-associated sites.
• Performed surveillance and monitoring of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), including Bloodstream Infections (BSI), Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI), Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP), Surgical Site Infections (SSI), and spot surveillance activities.
• Conducted regular audits and monitored compliance related to hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, environmental cleaning practices, and injection safety protocols.
