Job summary

Citi in India seeks a Project Manager and Scrum Master to bridge business and technology teams, drive delivery, and lead Agile practices for strategic initiatives. This hybrid role requires strong stakeholder management, leadership, and hands-on delivery experience.

You will manage end-to-end projects, define scope and milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and coach teams on Scrum rituals while using Agile metrics to improve performance. PMI/CSM/ACP beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and roadmaps.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality standards, and budget.
• Facilitate decision-making by providing project insights, metrics, and recommendations.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and manage expectations throughout project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance, change management, and delivery frameworks.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach Scrum teams, remove impediments, and manage backlog with Product Owners.
• Promote Agile maturity and continuous improvement across teams.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in Agile project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Project Manager Responsibilities

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
• Remove impediments and blockers impacting team productivity and sprint commitments.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized product backlog.
• Foster collaboration, transparency, accountability, and self-organization within the team.
• Monitor sprint progress and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
• Use Agile metrics such as Velocity, Burndown Charts, and Sprint Health indicators to improve team performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote Agile maturity across teams

Recommended Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in project manager experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
• Proven interpersonal, diplomatic and influencing skills
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Professional Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
