Job summary

RWS Transform in Mumbai seeks a localization project manager to lead end-to-end localization projects for diverse clients. You will create proposals, plan projects, and ensure adherence to processes while maintaining financial oversight and effective communications with global stakeholders.

You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, mitigate risks, and drive improvements, ensuring timely invoicing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years hands-on experience within localization/translation industry.
  • CAT tools and QA tools knowledge (TRADOS or other translation management tools).
  • Good written/verbal English for internal and external communication.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive approach and team-player mindset.
  • Analytical and structured problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to stay calm in a pressured environment and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work with independence and take ownership.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn and progress.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and executing a full cycle of localization projects from start to finish.
  • Creation of estimates and proposals for client approval.
  • Project planning and implementation of best methodologies including risk management and compliance.
  • Creation of project schedules using RWS tools and systems.
  • Close financial monitoring and control of projects.
  • Effective verbal and written communications with clients and stakeholders.
  • Adhering to RWS project processes including Translation Management Systems and CAT tools.
  • Identify project/process improvement opportunities and escalate to a manager.
  • Lead regular project meetings and distribute minutes and actions.
  • Maintenance and updating of invoicing tables and ensuring timely invoicing.
  • Development and preparation of process documents where required.

Job Purpose

To manage all assigned projects in the most efficient manner possible in order to ensure client retention, satisfaction and ultimately repeat revenue growth. Through effective written and verbal communication ensure that project teams are clear to the scope, complexity, and expectations of clients for all projects and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position, and financial status of their projects.

To manage and motivate the extended project team ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely manner to the departmental managers and Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Job Overview
  • Overseeing and executing a full cycle of localization projects from a range of customers from start to finish which typically includes, but not limited to:
  • Creation of estimates and proposals for client approval based on a project scope and provided materials
  • Project planning and implementing best methodology and processes including risk management and compliance
  • Creation of project schedules using RWS tools and systems
  • Close financial monitoring and control of projects through available tools and systems
  • Effective verbal and written communications with clients, internal and external stakeholders and the wider team members regionally and globally where needed
  • Adhering to RWS project process including Translation Management Systems, CAT tools, QA Tools, financial platforms, etc.
  • Identification of project/process improvement opportunities and escalating to a manager
  • Holding regular project meetings, documenting these and distributing minutes actions to the team
  • Maintenance and updating of invoicing tables and ensuring timely and final invoicing
  • Development and preparation of process documents where required
Skills & Experience
  • 2-3 years of hands‑on experience within the localization or translation industry
