Job summary

RWS is seeking an Associate Project Manager to drive software localization projects, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business. You will set expectations with teams on scope, complexity, and deliverables, and keep clients updated on progress, milestones, and financial status throughout the lifecycle.

You will coordinate milestones across engineering, QA, and delivery timelines, working with PgMs, Developers, SMEs, LEs, QA, and operations.

Qualifications

  • B.E. in CS/IT/Electronics or related field.
  • 3–6 years of localization or technical project coordination/management experience.
  • Strong English communication, written and verbal.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and HTML localization files.
  • Experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end execution of SWE localization projects.
  • Coordinate localization milestones, engineering activities, QA tasks, and delivery timelines.
  • Track project schedules, priorities, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Developers, SMEs, LEs, QA, and operations teams.
  • Manage and coordinate tasks across multiple internal teams.
  • Support project reporting, delivery tracking, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cost tracking.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage issue tracking, follow-ups, and resolution coordination.
  • Support troubleshooting of localization-related issues with technical teams.
  • Ensure quality standards and timely completion of localization deliverables.

Job description

As an Associate Project Manager, you will manage software localization projects efficiently to drive client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business growth. You will set clear expectations with project teams regarding project scope, complexity, and deliverables, and ensure clients are kept fully informed on progress, key milestones, and financial status throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end execution of SWE localization projects.
  • Coordinate localization milestones, engineering activities, QA tasks, and delivery timelines.
  • Track project schedules, priorities, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Program Managers (PgMs), Developers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Localization Engineers (LEs), QA teams, and operations teams.
  • Manage and coordinate tasks across multiple internal teams.
  • Support project reporting, delivery tracking, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cost tracking activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage issue tracking, follow-ups, and resolution coordination.
  • Support troubleshooting of localization-related issues and work with technical teams for resolution.
  • Ensure quality standards and timely completion of localization deliverables.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3u20136 years of experience in localization, software, or technical project coordination/project management roles.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, timelines, and dependencies effectively.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently without requiring step-by-step instructions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Windows user with knowledge of file management and basic OS tools.
  • Experience working with text editors and localization-related file formats such as JSON, XML, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic command-line usage.
  • Ability to read and execute simple scripts (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience troubleshooting localization files and resolving basic technical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira or other bug-tracking/project management systems.
  • Experience with CAT tools and TMS platforms.
  • Understanding of software development, localization, and testing workflows.
  • Exposure to budgeting, invoicing, forecasting, delivery tracking, and cost tracking activities is preferred.
  • Experience working on localization or software-related projects is preferred.
