Job summary

Thakral One is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Data & Analytics to lead enterprise data initiatives across Banking and Financial Services. You will ensure end-to-end delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality while coordinating cross-functional teams across locations.

You will drive governance, risk management, and stakeholder communications, delivering regular status updates and executive reports. Experience with vendor/offshore delivery and hybrid methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage enterprise Data & Analytics projects from initiation through production.
• Define scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, and resource allocations.
• Track progress and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
• Establish and maintain project governance processes and reporting.
• Coordinate activities across Business, Development, QA, UAT, and Production Support teams.
• Prepare and present status reports to senior management and sponsors.
• Manage Steering Committee and Sponsor meetings and approvals.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate plans clearly.
• Drive collaboration and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including RAID logs and post-implementation reviews.

Job description

As a Project Manager – Data & Analytics, you will lead and manage enterprise data projects across Banking and Financial Services, ensuring end‑to‑end delivery on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Project Delivery & Execution

• Deliver Data and Analytics projects from initiation through production implementation.
• Define scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, and resource allocations.
• Track progress and proactively manage risks and dependencies.

Project Planning & Tracking

• Establish and maintain project governance processes.
• Coordinate activities across Business, Development, QA, UAT, and Production Support teams.
• Monitor tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure adherence to timelines.
• Conduct regular project review meetings and follow‑ups.
• Create and manage project Kanban dashboards.
• Track requirements, development, testing, UAT, release, and post‑production activities.
• Facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and progress sessions.
• Monitor work item status and remove delivery roadblocks.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Escalate concerns with mitigation and recovery plans.
• Maintain risk and issue registers throughout the lifecycle.
• Facilitate conflict resolution between stakeholders and teams.

Executive & Management Reporting

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and executive‑level status reports.
• Provide updates to senior management and sponsors.
• Present project progress, timelines, financial status, and key achievements.
• Highlight risks, issues, blockers, and mitigation plans.

Steering Committee & Sponsor Management

• Prepare materials for Steering Committee and Sponsor Meetings.
• Facilitate decision‑making discussions and obtain approvals.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary coordination point between all team members.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication plans.

Team Leadership & Conflict Resolution

• Drive collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
• Resolve conflicts between Business, Development, QA, UAT, and Support teams.
• Promote a positive, accountable, and delivery‑focused culture.
• Take leadership during critical project situations and escalations.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare and maintain project documentation including Project Charter, RAID Logs, Status Reports, and Post‑Implementation Reviews.
• Ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements.
