Job summary

Shree Combines in Nashik is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead telecom/OFC/OSP programs from planning to closure, defining execution strategies, timelines and resource plans while ensuring delivery within scope, budget and quality.

You will monitor progress via MIS, drive risks and recovery plans, coordinate ROW/government bodies, and supervise cross-functional teams to achieve on-time, profitable outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO on project performance and business-critical matters.
  • Establish project milestones, targets and measurable KPIs.
  • Monitor project progress through regular reviews and MIS.
  • Analyse productivity, delays, resource utilisation and performance.
  • Develop recovery plans for delayed or critical projects.
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, Area Leads, Field Engineers and site teams.
  • Coordinate between Project, ROW, QA, SCM, Finance, HR and other departments.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with customers, telecom operators, consultants and other stakeholders.

Job description

Role & responsibilities -

1. Strategic Project Management - Lead and oversee multiple telecom/OFC/OSP projects from planning to successful closure. Develop project execution strategies, timelines, manpower plans and resource requirements. Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, quality and timelines. Identify project risks, dependencies and critical issues and implement corrective actions. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO on project performance and business-critical matters.

2. Project Planning & Performance - Establish project milestones, targets and measurable KPIs. Monitor project progress through regular reviews and MIS. Analyse project productivity, delays, resource utilisation and operational performance. Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and customer commitments. Develop recovery plans for delayed or critical projects.

3. Leadership & Team Management- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, Area Leads, Field Engineers and site teams. Build an accountable and performance-driven project team. Review team performance and establish individual and project-level targets. Ensure effective coordination between Project, ROW, QA, SCM, Finance, HR and other departments.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Management - Maintain senior-level relationships with customers, telecom operators, consultants and other stakeholders. Participate in customer review meetings and project steering meetings. Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical customer concerns. Understand customer expectations and ensure service delivery accordingly.

5. ROW & Government Coordination - Provide strategic direction for ROW permissions and statutory approvals. Coordinate with government authorities, local bodies, utility agencies and other stakeholders. Monitor critical ROW issues and ensure timely resolution through the concerned teams. Develop strategies to minimise ROW-related project delays.

6. Commercial & Cost Management - Monitor project budgets, project costs and overall financial performance. Ensure effective utilisation of manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors. Monitor project billing, work completion and commercial milestones in coordination with Finance. Control project wastage, rework and unnecessary operational expenses. Support management in commercial negotiations and project-related decisions.

7. Contractor & Vendor Management - Lead strategic coordination with contractors, subcontractors and key vendors. Review contractor performance, productivity, quality and compliance. Ensure contractors meet agreed project targets and timelines. Take corrective action against underperforming contractors.

8. Quality, Safety & Compliance - Ensure compliance with company, customer and statutory quality and safety requirements. Drive a strong safety culture across all project locations. Monitor quality performance, rework, customer observations and non-conformities. Ensure timely closure of quality and safety issues.

9. Material & Resource Management- Ensure optimum utilisation and availability of project materials and resources. Coordinate with SCM for project material planning and timely supply. Monitor material consumption, reconciliation and project stock. Minimise material loss, damage and wastage.

10. MIS, Review & Reporting- Review daily, weekly and monthly project performance reports. Present project status, achievements, risks, financial performance and action plans to the CEO. Establish project dashboards and management review mechanisms. Ensure accurate and timely reporting from all project locations.

11. Project Closure & HOTO - Ensure timely completion of AT, documentation, billing, HOTO and project closure. Ensure all project assets, documents, materials and records are properly reconciled. Conduct project closure reviews and identify lessons learned for future projects.
