Job description

We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in delivering complex web applications and enterprise solutions, preferably built on the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js).

The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise, technical understanding, leadership skills, and stakeholder management abilities to oversee project delivery from concept to deployment. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, timely delivery, effective resource utilization, and stakeholder satisfaction, while acting as a bridge between our technical teams and business clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle management of software and web application projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-release support.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Prepare project plans and ensure effective execution according to agreed timelines.
• Ensure technical feasibility, resource planning, and capacity management for smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams including developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Manage cross-functional and distributed teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive Agile processes.
• Communicate project status, progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders and management.
• Understand client requirements and ensure they are effectively communicated to the technical team.

Risk, Resource & Quality Management

• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure optimal utilization of project teams.
• Monitor project timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and overall project performance.
• Support budget planning and resource-related cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and business requirements.
• Take corrective actions to prevent delays, quality issues, and scope-related challenges.

Technical Oversight & Governance

• Maintain a strong understanding of technologies involving PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
• Participate in architectural and technical discussions with development teams.
• Provide high-level technical guidance to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Review solution designs, API structures, database schemas, and technical documentation.
• Promote Agile/Scrum and DevOps best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure proper coordination between development, QA, deployment, and support teams.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of IT project management experience, preferably in software development, web applications, or enterprise solutions.
• Experience managing projects involving the PERN stack or similar modern web technologies.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodology, including sprint planning and backlog management.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project delivery processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• PERN Stack: Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
• Architecture: Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web application architecture.
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management platforms.
• Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall principles.
• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, deployment processes, and DevOps practices.
• Solution Design: Ability to understand and review solution designs, API structures, database schemas, and application workflows.
• SDLC: Good understanding of software development life cycle, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.
• Documentation: Ability to maintain project plans, status reports, risk registers, requirements, and technical documentation.
