Job summary

MitKat Advisory, a global risk consultancy, is seeking a Project/Program Manager to deliver security technology projects and complex programs.

You will coordinate international teams, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, and ensure on-time delivery per PM policies. This role requires PMI certification and experience with remote leadership and CSIS-style engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience in international team environments.
• Proven delivery on security technology projects.
• Strong financial and risk management experience.
• Experience managing remote teams.
• PMI certification (PMP or CAPM) preferred.
• Prince-2 or PMA also considered.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution of all assigned work efforts, Projects and Programs.
• Preparation of project documents and other deliverables per PM policy and PTS 2.0.
• Facilitating discussions with business partners to clarify infrastructure requirements and scope.
• Developing program/project plans and schedules integrated with CSIS workstreams.
• Escalates risks and issues to the sponsor and CSIS leadership.
• Executes against the project plan to deliver on time, on budget, quality.
• Documents scope/time/cost changes and obtains approvals.
• Incorporates risk planning into all project phases with mitigation.
• Organizes status reporting on risks and issues.
• Organizing meetings and tracking action items; represents CSIS in large project meetings.

Job Description

• Delivery and execution of all assigned work efforts, Projects and Programs, which will include any temporary work effort undertaken to create a unique product, service.
• Preparation of project documents and other deliverables, reports, updates as per Project Management Policy and Project management system called PTS 2.0.
• Facilitating discussions with business partners to clarify and confirm infrastructure requirements and project/program scope, timeline for business implementation, availability of funding, and business drivers.
• Developing program/project plans and schedules integrated with CSIS workstream delivery timelines and resource availability.
• Makes modifications to project plan based on documented, approved requirements changes or risk mitigations.
• Escalates risks and issues to the program/project sponsor and CSIS senior leadership as appropriate.
• Executes against the project plan to achieve on time, on budget, quality delivery of in scope requirements.
• Formally documents the impacts of scope, time or cost changes to the project or program and gains the approval of the program/project sponsor and the CSIS project portfolio manager.
• Incorporates risk planning into all program/project phases with associated mitigation strategies identified and documented.
• Integrates significant risks and issues and their impacts into program/project status reporting.
• Stakeholder interaction while managing Project/Program priorities, financial tracking and reporting and risk management.
• Ensuring proper reporting of project progress and escalation.
• Organizing and facilitates discussion within teams and external vendors that are needed for work effort management. Preparing meeting minutes. Tracking action items and sending follow-ups until completion.
• Participates in regular Team meetings, PMO meetings and regular 1:1 as per reporting line.
• Represents CSIS project needs on larger project meetings (eg. In case of real estate project, where security is one of the contributing organizations).

Qualifications & Skills (Required)

• Experience in working in an International Team environment
• Experience in managing multiple security technology projects with proven track record of delivery and implementing significant change.
• Proven Financial and Risk management experience.
• Experience of working in virtual teams and for a remote manager.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (PMP or CAPM) is preferred.
• Other industry standard Project Management certifications such as Prince-2 or PMA will be considered as an alternative.

Basic knowledge/experience in the following areas is required:

• Financial management skills within the Project/Program context.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
• Managing ambiguity.
• Strong MS Office skills are essential.
• Good written and verbal skills in English.
• Database management basics.
• Information and Data Security experience.
• Access management knowledge.
• Change management knowledge.
• Affinity for new technology implementation.
• Microsoft SharePoint management and development.
• Access Control, Surveillance or Biometric system experience.
• The above listed knowledge/experience is preferable but not required
