Job summary

MassMutual India is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and reporting for medium to large technology projects within the EIS/ETX domains. You will coordinate with project owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic goals, while ensuring governance and compliance with SDLC and audit requirements.

You will drive roadmaps, facilitate agile ceremonies, and remove barriers to project success, leveraging Jira, Confluence and Clarity PPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, delivering complex technical projects.
• Three+ years in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) with Kanban facilitation experience.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders.

Job description

• Accountable to Project Owners, Stakeholders and other parties for planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting of medium to large projects and/or small to medium programs often of varying scope, high complexity and non-contained risk that support basic to moderately complex business unit or corporate goals
• Drives the development of Stakeholder’s Project roadmap(s), ensuring alignment to the overall strategic direction of ETX and ensures the successful performance of your Projects
• Builds and maintain relationships across EIS, ETX and business stakeholders to maximize opportunities for success
• Leverages demonstrated ability to lead through influence by guiding Product Owners, team members, and other key stakeholders across the organization
• Forecasts and maintains both people and financial resource requirements for Projects, escalating any variances, as appropriate
• Holds self and project team accountable for desired outcomes
• Removes barriers to enable project team members to complete objectives, or escalates as appropriate
• Effectively negotiates priorities and solutions with sponsors and stakeholders
• Collaborates on the development and reporting of critical Program Metrics, including Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensures accurate, timely and coordinated status reporting for your Projects
• Partners with Product Owners and Business Analysts to review and validate documented requirements (functional & non-functional) and user stories for assigned Projects, ensuring they are understood by stakeholders
• Serves as an Agile Champion to assigned Project(s), facilitating the evolution of the EIS Agile Journey.
• Facilitates brainstorming sessions and research/resolve issues creatively to meet program objectives and long-term strategy
• Ensures the production and retention of applicable project artifacts per SDLC / Audit requirements
• When requested, leads or participates in process improvement efforts driven by the PMO, with the desired outcomes of increasing consistency, generating efficiencies, and delivering other defined benefits to EIS as a whole
• Works with a high degree of autonomy and applies industry and project management knowledge and skills

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience combined with experience in Project Management including Financial Management and in delivering complex technical projects
• Three+ years of experience in Agile team environments (Scrum/Kanban), with demonstrated Kanban facilitation experience
• Clear track record of success leading/driving technology programs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and work as part of a collaborative team
• Exceptional oral and written communication and facilitation skills
• Comfort at interacting with and presenting out to all levels of stakeholders and leadership
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously and with ambiguity
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams and third-party vendors
• Demonstrated experience developing roadmaps for large scale technology Programs
• Demonstrated ability to balance understanding of broad program scope
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Clarity PPM
• Working experience within Financial Services (e.g., insurance, retail annuities), with a focus on technology, cyber security, or information risk initiatives
