Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in the medical devices sector to lead project charters, plans and budgets. You will own scope definition, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across multi‑disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have a technical engineering background, strong analytical abilities, and familiarity with FDA regulations. PMP is preferred, and the role involves developing quality plans and managing resources to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology/engineering (CS, Electronics, Electrical) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the medical devices industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with risk management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the team in the development of the project charter and management plan.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop, manage and own project scope; create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
• Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart; analyze critical path, major workstreams, and milestones.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional managers to define project budget; monitor and maintain costs within budget.
• Partner with the project team to create project Quality Plans using quality planning tools; monitor the plans.
• Develop a risk management plan; identify, analyze, and monitor project risks; implement risk responses.
• Estimate, acquire, and assign cross‑functional project resources; define roles and deliverables; provide feedback on performance.
• Develop a Stakeholder management plan based on stakeholder expectations.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control the project. Develop a strong business case and evaluate tradeoffs within the project.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop, manage and own project scope. Create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
• Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical path, major workstreams, and intersecting milestones. Own the project schedule.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional managers to define project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
• Partner with the project team to create project Quality Plans using 2–3 quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain the plans.
• Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze, and understand project risks; develop and monitor a risk response plan.
• Estimate, acquire, and assign cross‑functional project resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to the functional manager on performance reviews.
• Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of stakeholder expectations.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology in engineering (Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience with the medical devices industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, including risk management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent preferred.
• Applied knowledge of FDA & International medical device regulations.
