Job summary

Alstom in Kochi is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead the definition and execution of project strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with PM processes.

You will manage budgets, timelines, risks, and customer relationships, reporting progress to senior management while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a qualification in Project Management.
• 5 years of experience as a sub-system/component manager, qualified project manager, or manager of an operational scope.
• Experience in managing multi-site and multi-functional teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of project management processes and railway products/systems.
• Ability to manage customer relationships and external stakeholders effectively.
• Exposure to the rail signalling industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with Alstom’s way of working for efficient process execution (desirable).

• Optimize project financial performance with a focus on margin and cash.
• Define project objectives and allocate resources to achieve customer satisfaction.

• Proactively manage risks, savings, and opportunities to drive project success.
• Report project progress and KPIs to senior management with transparency.

Your future role

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of projects with low criticality, ensuring that contractual requirements and customer expectations are met. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (such as engineering, procurement, and operations), manage project performance, and foster strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

You’ll specifically take care of defining project strategies and ensuring compliance with Alstom’s project management processes, but also lead and coordinate project activities from transfer to close-out phases.

We’ll look to you for:

• Owning the Project Management Work Package (WP) and being accountable for Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) performance.
