Job summary

Johnson Controls, a leader in data center and HVAC solutions, seeks a Project Manager – Silent Aire to drive end-to-end delivery of AHU, FWU, CDU, CRAC, and modular data center systems from bid through handover. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance while spending ~50% on-site at Hyderabad, India.

The role requires 10+ years in HVAC project management, strong leadership, and PMP or equivalent certification, with English

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Proven HVAC project management experience.
• Strong HVAC design, installation, testing and commissioning knowledge.
• Experience handling large, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Excellent communication, planning and leadership skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• PMP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution and delivery with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage project engineers, controls engineers, document controllers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor schedule, cost, risk and project performance.
• Own project P&L, forecasting, cash flow and change management.
• Serve as primary customer and contractor interface.
• Ensure compliance with contract, safety and quality requirements.
• Drive timely resolution of risks and issues during delivery.
• Ensure successful project closure, handover and customer satisfaction.
• Be on-site for approximately 50% of the time.

Job Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of AHU, FWU, CDU, CRAC and Modular Data Centers systems from contract bidding through contract award engineering, prototyping, customer factory witness testing, procurement, production, shipping, installation, commissioning, and final handover. The role is accountable for safety, quality, schedule, cost, margin performance, customer satisfaction, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution and delivery, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage project engineers, project controls engineers, document controllers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor schedule, cost, risk and project performance.
• Own project P&L, forecasting, cash flow and change management.
• Serve as the primary customer and general contractor interface.
• Ensure compliance with contract, safety and quality requirements.
• Ensure timely closure to all risk and issues throughout project delivery
• Ensure successful project closure, handover, and customer satisfaction.
• Will be required to be on-project sites for 50% of the time

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in HVAC project management and execution.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience handling commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and large project teams.
• Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• PMP or equivalent certifications
