Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Hyderabad, Telangana invites a Project Engineer - Quantity Surveyor to support the Planning & QS team in coordinating construction projects from initiation to completion. You will manage documentation, track progress, liaise with consultants, contractors, vendors and clients, ensuring deliverables meet scope, time and budget.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management degree and 3–7 years' experience in commercial interiors or real estate development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or architecture.
  • 3–7 years of experience in construction or project coordination, preferably in commercial interiors or real estate.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, invoicing, procurement, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Project coordination: assist project managers in day-to-day management of multiple construction projects.
  • Documentation & reporting: maintain contracts, drawings, RFIs, and minutes; prepare progress reports.
  • Budget & cost control: help with cost estimates, BOQs, and budget tracking; verify invoices.
  • Quality, safety & compliance: coordinate inspections and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Communication & coordination: act as a central contact for stakeholders and schedule meetings.

Project Engineer - Quantity Surveyor

Summary The Planning & QS Engineer will support the Project Manager and project team in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from initiation to completion. The role involves managing documentation, tracking progress, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and clients to ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

About the Role:
  • Project Coordination Assist Project Managers in day-to-day management of multiple construction projects. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments for timely execution. Monitor project schedules and update progress reports. Track material approvals, drawings, and submittals to ensure timely flow of information.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain project documentation such as contracts, work orders, correspondence, RFIs, drawings, and MOMs (Minutes of Meeting). Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Support in preparing presentations, status dashboards, and project close-out documentation.
  • Budget & Cost Control Support the team in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and budget tracking sheets. Verify vendor invoices and assist in processing payments in coordination with the finance department.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance Coordinate inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Maintain safety records and assist in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) norms.
  • Communication & Coordination Act as a central point of contact for project communication. Schedule and coordinate internal/external meetings and maintain action trackers. Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
About You:
  • Key Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Team-oriented with proactive follow-up and coordination abilities. Knowledge of project documentation and tendering process. Familiarity with budgeting, invoicing, and procurement procedures.
  • Additional Preferred Skills: Exposure to project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Asana, or similar). Experience working with multinational clients or corporate fit-out projects.
  • Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / construction management / architecture (or equivalent). 3–7 years of experience in construction or project coordination, preferably in commercial, corporate interiors, or real estate development projects. Strong understanding of construction drawings, project schedules, and site coordination. Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD (added advantage).
