Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Kolkata seeks a Project Engineer to support civil engineering projects from planning to delivery. You will assist the Project Lead in coordination, technical oversight and team management to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of civil engineering experience, strong knowledge of civil works and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil. This on-site role offers growth, diverse electrical projects and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Lead in planning, coordinating and overseeing civil engineering projects.
• Help develop and review electrical system designs, specifications and drawings.
• Support in managing project schedules, budgets and resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and ensure design compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, change orders and project documentation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to electrical systems.
• Support quality control and adherence to electrical safety standards.

At JLL, the Project Engineer supports the Project Lead in managing and executing civil engineering projects. This role involves assisting with project coordination, technical oversight, and team management to ensure successful delivery of civil works within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Lead in planning, coordinating, and overseeing civil engineering projects.
• Help develop and review electrical system designs, specifications, and drawings.
• Support in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, change orders, and project documentation.
• Help identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues related to electrical systems.
• Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and codes.
• Contribute to client presentations and progress meetings.
• Support the procurement process for civil equipment and materials.
• Help prepare project proposals and cost estimates for civil systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil works.
• Have understanding of PEB works.
• Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD civil).
• Familiarity with relevant civil codes, standards, and regulations.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
