UL Solutions in Bengaluru seeks a Project Engineer focused on wind resource assessment and turbine layout optimization. You will work on met mast installation, wind data analysis, and bankable reports, collaborating with regional teams on overseas projects.

You will also conduct site visits, travel for met tower inspections, and participate in industry conferences, contributing to energy production estimates and losses/uncertainty analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in wind resource assessment and met mast work.
• Experience with Windographer/OpenWind, R, and Excel is preferred.
• Familiarity with IEC 61400-12-1 is desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English, team-oriented.

Job Description:

Job Description: Wind Resource Assessment is an important step in wind farm development. In this role, the Project Engineer is required to work mainly on the following areas and also with Peers on the daily job not limited to Site Identification, Meteorological tower design, installationand management,wind data analysis, turbine layout optimization, energy production estimation, losses and uncertainty analysis, and preparation of bankable reports.

• Expertise with software applications such as Windographer, openWind, R, Microsoft Excel, etc.
• Experience with IEC 61400-12-1 standard
• Fluent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work as part of a team and share ideas with peers to solve the clients pain points
• Willingness to travel (site visits, conferences, meetings)
