Job summary

Alstom in Coimbatore seeks a Project Configuration and Change Management Leader to drive CCM activities across programs. You will define CMPs, lead Change Boards, and ensure baselines remain consistent while supporting procurement, industrial, tender, and quality teams.

You will monitor CCM performance, drive improvements, and manage risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams. English fluency and CMII knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or related field.
• 8+ years in configuration and change management.
• Knowledge of railway products, solutions, and systems.
• CMII certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional team skills.

Could you be the full-time Project Configuration and Change Management (PCCM) Leader in Coimbatore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in configuration and change management to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, driven, and innovative teammates.

You’ll ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of delivered products and services to internal and external customers, keeping configurations under control and managing changes throughout the lifecycle of key projects, programs, or products. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including procurement, industrial, tender/project management, and quality), lead Configuration and Change Management (CCM) activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and leading Change Control Boards, but also monitoring CCM performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

• Leading CCM activities and deliverables for projects, programs, or products
• Defining and issuing Configuration Baseline Release Notes
• Ensuring consistency and integrity of baselines across projects
• Performing Configuration Audits and issuing Configuration Status Accounting Reports
• Coordinating and managing Change Requests end-to-end
• Monitoring CCM performance and implementing corrective actions
• Identifying and mitigating CCM-related risks
• Providing feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of CCM processes and tools

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field
• Experience in configuration and change management, with at least 8 years in a similar role
• Knowledge of railway products, solutions, and systems
• Familiarity with CCM tools (e.g., ALM, EWM, PLM)
• A CMII certification or equivalent is a plus
• Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and cross-functional team management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluency in English
• Systematic, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
• Leadership skills and the ability to influence and guide stakeholders
