Job summary

Azim Premji University seeks a Campus Operations Lead for its Bhopal campus. The role oversees classrooms, halls, residences, and campus facilities, ensuring readiness for sessions and events.

You will manage maintenance, security, medical services, and F&B operations to support students and staff. You will also supervise security systems, fire safety, regulatory compliance, and contribute to construction projects and procurements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of campus operations at the Bhopal campus.
• Ensure readiness of classrooms, seminar halls, conference halls, guest residences for sessions/events.
• Maintain high quality facilities upkeep, including buildings, outdoor spaces, cafeterias, waste management.
• Oversee operations and maintenance of facilities, including electrical and plumbing, HVAC.
• Manage F&B services for students and members.
• Oversee campus medical services, medical centre, ambulance, personnel.
• Ensure campus security arrangements with guards, biometrics, CCTV, QRT vehicles.
• Ensure fire safety standards with staffing and firefighting systems.
• Adhere to regulatory standards on pollution, medical and fire safety, labour norms, security.
• Provide inputs to construction projects for infrastructure needs.
• Create facilities for academic programs and member/student well-being.
• Handle procurements and contracts related to operations and academics, AMC and procurements.

Job description

The role will lead and manage the full spectrum of campus operations at our Bhopalcampus.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure readiness of classrooms, seminar halls, conference halls, Guest residences for academic/quasi-academic sessions/events.
• Ensure high quality of facilities management in terms of upkeep of academic and residential buildings, outdoor spaces, landscaping, cafeterias, waste managementetc.
• Undertake operations and repair & maintenance of all facilities on campus including buildings, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC etc.
• Ensure efficient management of F & B services on campus for students andmembers.
• Effectively managing the medical services on campus including managing the medical centre, ambulance, medicalpersonnel.
• Being responsible for security arrangements on campus including management of security personnel, biometric systems, CCTV network, QRT vehiclesetc.
• Ensure high standards of fire safety compliance by ensuring adequate staffing of fire personnel, management of firefighting systems, training of members andstudents.
• Adherence to standards established by regulatory authorities on pollution, medical and fire safety, labour norms, securityetc.
• Provide operational inputs to ongoing/proposed construction projects to achieve the desired standards of infrastructure needed for academicprogrammes.
• Create facilities, as and when needed, for academic programmes and well-being of members andstudents.
• Handle all procurements cases related to operations and academics including contract management, AMC , online and offline procurements in accordance with the established norms.
