Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to drive and oversee large, complex technology programs across time zones and functions. You will manage execution, communicate with senior stakeholders, and act as the program's face to upper management.

The role requires 10+ years in program management, strong Agile experience, and exceptional communication skills. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, Technology, Data Science, and Sales, in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in program and project management or similar role running large projects in operations, technology or engineering.
  • Practical experience with agile techniques and methodologies.
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written).
  • Proven ability to influence & gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions and cultures.
  • Experience configuring and using Jira or similar project tracking software.
  • Scrum Alliance certifications (i.e. CSM, CSPO) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and track program milestones, timelines, and deployment plans
  • Manage program scope (demand intake, documentation, change control, communication)
  • Act as the face of the program and communicate progress to upper management and stakeholders
  • Act as liaison for all facets of the program and pull people together to make decisions across multiple functions
  • Facilitate cross-team prioritization to create release plans and manage lifecycle
  • Ensure business objectives are clearly defined and met
  • Adhere to standard program management processes, tools, and governance
  • Track cross-functional dependencies, identify gaps, and mitigate risks
  • Track program objectives and progress (status, Jira boards, project plans)
  • Resolve issues promptly
  • Execute production readiness and documentation sign-offs
  • Communicate agile metrics and drive compliance
  • Coordinate production and commercial readiness and rollout plans
  • Track and report on program financials, including resource planning

Job Description

As a Program Manager at NielsenIQ, you will be part of this organizational transformation as you drive and directly oversee large complex technology programs. Your team’s projects will cut across time zones, clients, and technologies, and it is your job to manage execution, and communicate to senior stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of program deliverables and tracking of program health
  • Define and track program milestones, timelines, and deployment plans
  • Manage program scope (demand intake, documentation, change control, communication)
  • Act as the face of the program and communicate progress to upper management and stakeholders
  • Act as liaison for all facets of the program and pull people together to make decisions (Product, Operations, Technology, Internal Functions, Commercial, Data Science, Client Deployment, Marketing, Sales) throughout the project
  • Facilitate cross-team prioritization between Stakeholders and Technology teams in order to create release plans and continue to manage throughout the program lifecycle
  • Ensure business objectives are clearly defined and that the program meets them
  • Adhere to standard program management processes, best practices, and tools to the organization, including architecture, cybersecurity, and quality
  • Facilitate conversations to ensure Cross Functional Team Dependencies are tracked, identifying gaps, and mitigating or escalating risks
  • Track and communicate program objectives and progress (Program Status, Initiative level Jira Boards, and Project Plans)
  • Track and ensure prompt resolution of issues
  • Execute production readiness (Sign-offs & Documentation)
  • Communicate agile team metrics & drive compliance
  • Execute production and commercial readiness (Sign-offs, Documentation and Rollout Plans and Execution)
  • Track and report on program financials, including resource planning
Qualifications
  • 10+years in program and project management or similar role running large projects in operations, technology or engineering
  • Practical experience with agile techniques and methodologies
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email)
  • Proven ability to influence & gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions and cultures
  • Comfortable working with senior-level management and virtual teams
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
  • Strong bias toward action, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • You are the glue of a happy, high-performing, cross-functional team
  • Positive attitude, team player, self-starter; takes initiative, ability to work independently
  • Experience configuring and using Jira or similar project tracking software
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field
  • Scrum Alliance certifications (i.e. CSM, CSPO, etc.) preferred
