It trains teachers and trainers, builds self-learning material, and works alongside government schools, ITIs and industry so that young people finish their training ready for real jobs. This role sits within Quest Alliance's Youth Program team, which runs the training, placement and career readiness work for young people in each state.

Role

As Program Coordinator you will make sure the Youth Program actually happens on the ground in Tamil Nadu. You will hold the plan together from start to finish, working with trainers, ITI centres, government officials and partner organisations so training runs on time and to a good standard. • Develop and track work plans, and keep the team to agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews with trainers, centres and other stakeholders.
  • Support Training of Trainers sessions and help centres become independent over time.
  • Build and manage relationships with government bodies, ITIs and civil society partners.
  • Ensure MoU commitments are met across training, placements and subgrant use.
  • Work with placement teams to strengthen links with industry and employers.
  • Coordinate with internal training, monitoring, technology and communications teams.
  • Support career development programs, especially in Women ITIs.
  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation data and reports are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate baseline, endline and other assessments, and maintain student and centre databases.
  • Manage program team members, fellows and interns, set their goals and plan their capacity building.
Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of experience managing stakeholders in government settings or education institutions.
  • Excellent communication in English and Tamil, both mandatory.
  • A real commitment to the challenges of educating and skilling young people in India.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving setting with multicultural teams, government departments and varied partners.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on time with close attention to detail.
  • Strong judgement and people skills.
  • Strong personal commitment to the values of Quest Alliance.
  • Willingness to travel locally and across the country.
  • Ability to handle uncertainty and look for solutions without being asked.
  • A working understanding of research, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • High standards of integrity, maturity and professionalism.
  • Personal accident insurance with cover of up to ₹10,00,000 per year.
  • Mediclaim insurance with cover of up to ₹3,00,000 per year, including added wellness benefits.
