Job description

We are looking for a Coordinator – Green Careers to help bridge the gap between technical education systems and emerging green opportunities for young people.

The role will focus on identifying and validating green pathways across trades, strengthening industry engagement, translating labour market insights into actionable learning experiences, and supporting learners to transition into meaningful green work opportunities.

This role sits at the intersection of industry engagement, skills development, employability, systems change and future of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map emerging green occupations, skills and livelihood opportunities relevant to ITI and VTI learners.
  • Develop trade‑specific and region‑specific pathway intelligence across sectors such as clean energy, electric mobility, sustainable manufacturing, circular economy, construction, waste management and climate adaptation.
  • Identify green opportunities embedded within traditional trades and occupations rather than focusing only on specialised green jobs.
  • Translate labour market signals into actionable recommendations for programmes, curriculum and learner journeys.
Industry engagement and ecosystem development
  • Build relationships with employers, startups, industry associations, social enterprises and ecosystem actors working in green sectors.
  • Facilitate trade‑specific employer consultations and working groups.
  • Develop partnerships for learner exposure, apprenticeships, projects, mentoring and placement opportunities.
  • Support creation of long‑term industry engagement mechanisms within institutions and states.
Curriculum and program integration
  • Work closely with learning experience and program teams to ensure green pathways are reflected within curriculum and project‑based learning experiences.
  • Support development of trade‑linked case studies, projects and exposure opportunities.
  • Ensure learning experiences remain aligned with evolving industry realities.
Transition systems and learner pathways
  • Support institutions to strengthen green career guidance and livelihood planning.
  • Identify barriers preventing learners from accessing green opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Document transition journeys, emerging pathways and evidence of learner outcomes.
Knowledge products and ecosystem influence
  • Develop pathway maps, employer insights, case studies and guidance materials.
  • Represent the organisation in relevant ecosystem forums and sector conversations.
  • Contribute to evidence generation and thought leadership around green transitions within TVET.
