Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a senior safety leader to provide comprehensive safety oversight for construction projects in Chennai. You will lead safety reviews at project initiation, conduct site inspections, generate risk reports, and drive timely corrective actions.

Ideal candidates have a decade of construction safety experience, hold a safety license, and excel at communicating with project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction safety.
• Hold a safety license with proven track record in delivering trainings.
• Proficiency with project safety systems, processes, tools and best practices.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation measures.
• Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.
• Ability to mentor, coach and educate others on safety practices.
• Willingness to work on-site in Chennai, TN, with a 48-hour weekly schedule.

ROLE

• – Provide safety support to all projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards and local safety regulations.
• – Conduct safety review meetings with project and design teams at the initial stage of projects.
• – Promote workplace safety by performing site inspections, generating risk reports, implementing timely safety‑related corrections, and leading weekly safety meetings.
• – Coordinate with the project manager and operations manager to maintain a safe work environment.
• – Create safety awareness and educate people and stakeholders through sharing success stories and best practices.
• – Mentor and coach safety officers and non‑safety professionals.
• – Obtain relevant professional licenses and keep them up‑to‑date.
• – Identify and devise measures to meet stakeholder business needs and requirements.
• – Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, building strong team relationships and interacting with business partners.
