Job summary

MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG in India seeks a diamond coating technician to support customer projects by preparing parts for adhesion and operating CVD diamond coating equipment.

You will post-process coated parts, maintain a clean and safe work area, perform TPM, and help improve processes with Engineering and R&D. A high school diploma and 3–5 years in a chemical or coating env, with cleanroom exposure, are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in high-tech chemical or coating process manufacturing.
• Knowledge of thin film coatings and/or CVD/PVD desirable.
• Cleanroom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer-supplied parts for diamond adhesion.
• Operate CVD diamond coating equipment.
• Post-process coated products for function and appearance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Perform TPM; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect incoming, in-process and outgoing products.
• Implement production processes from Engineering & R&D.

• Using chemical, electrochemical and mechanical process to prepare customer supplied product for diamond adhesion
• Operating CVD diamond coating equipment to diamond coat a variety of products
• Operating ancillary equipment to post process the diamond coated product for improved function and appearance
• Maintaining the work area in accordance with lab cleanliness and safety standards
• Performing equipment total preventive maintenance (TPM), troubleshooting / repairs, implementing corrective actions to root causes and giving improvement recommendations for the overall of safety and performance of process equipment and the manufacturing systems
• Inspect incoming, in process and outgoing product. To follow and improve the inspection process that will meet/exceed customer requirements and improve in house scrap
• Implementation into the production environment of processes developed by Process Engineering and R&D

Your Profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn
• Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving techniques
• Ideally 3 – 5 years of experience in a high technology chemical or coating process manufacturing environment. Knowledge of thin film coatings and/or CVD/PVD processes desirable. Previous work in a cleanroom environment is a plus
• Basic understanding of safety, health, and environmental practices
• Experience following quality control procedures and meeting production standards
• Good written and verbal communication
• Working knowledge of software programs and computers
• High quality awareness
• Ability to work multiple shifts
