Aufgaben

• Drive and coordinate QC activities for Incoming Inspection to minimize shop complaints and improve inspection.
• Apply basic EHS guidelines and environmental risk related to inspection on machines and during assembly.
• Support environmental projects related to 3R (reduce/reuse/recycle).
• Report incidents, accidents, events, spills, and leaks per organizational requirements.
• Knowledge of machining and assembly processes, preferably from steam turbine manufacturing.
• Familiar with Vernier calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Understand and apply steam turbine manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Detect and address counter-fraudulent inspection reports from suppliers or during inspection of purchased items.
• Review supplier documentation and EOMR; raise flags for non-conformance.
• Hands-on experience with SAP QM module.
• Bridge shop quality and sourcing quality teams to improve supplier processes.
• Encourage stop-work and quality concern reporting on deviations.
• Communicate deviations with sourcing and suppliers.
• Prepare visual inspection reports and C-class component inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drive and coordinate Quality Control activities for Incoming Inspection to ensure zero shop complaints and improve overall inspection processes.
• Apply knowledge of basic EHS guidelines, environmental aspects, and risk related to inspection activities on machines and during assembly.
• Implement and support environmental projects related to 3R's (reduce/reuse/recycle).
• Report all incidents, accidents, events, spills, and leaks as per organizational requirements.
• Possess in‑depth knowledge of machining and assembly processes, preferably from steam turbine manufacturing.
• Be conversant with the use of measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Understand and apply the steam turbine manufacturing process and associated quality requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and geometrical tolerance requirements.
• Detect and address counter‑fraudulent inspection reports received from suppliers or during inspection of purchased items.
• Review supplier documentation and End of Material Reports (EOMR); raise flags for any non‑conformance or process deviations.
• Maintain hands‑on experience with the QM module of SAP.
• Serve as a bridge between shop quality and sourcing quality teams, monitoring issues identified during shop inspection and working with sourcing to improve supplier processes.
• Create awareness among the team to raise stop work or quality concerns on small deviations.
• Communicate deviations with sourcing, suppliers, and supplier quality.
• Prepare visual inspection reports and carry out “C” class component inspections, generating dimension inspection reports.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in incoming quality.
• Proficiency with SAP, MTA, and Microsoft Office tools (advanced understanding required).

Desired Qualifications

• NDT Level II in LPT/MPT as per ASNT.
