Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sanand, Gujarat, India, is seeking a Production Planner to develop, coordinate and monitor production schedules. You will bridge Sales, Procurement, Stores and Production to ensure smooth flow and timely manufacturing.

The role requires BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical with 7–10 years of planning/production experience, strong Excel, and ERP (SAP/Oracle R12) knowledge. You will drive plan accuracy and optimize inventory and capacity.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 7-10 years of experience in production or manufacturing planning.
• Strong in ERP, planning and supply chain coordination.

Responsibilities

• Create daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on demand and inventory.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Balance production capacity and material availability.
• Monitor schedule adherence and take corrective actions for delays.
• Review material availability and coordinate with Material Buyer for shortages.
• Track production performance against plan.
• Generate and analyze planning reports, work orders and metrics.
• Ensure BOMs, routing, lead times and planning parameters are accurate.
• Coordinate with Sales, Material Buyer, Quality, Engineering and Logistics.
• Manage production priorities per customer requirements.

Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products balancing demand, inventory levels, and production efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Procurement, Stores, and Production departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• Create daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Balance production capacity and material availability.
• Monitor schedule adherence and take corrective actions to address delays.
• Review material availability and coordinate with Material Buyer for shortages.
• Track production performance against plan.
• Follow up on daily production status and report variances.
• Maintain production planning data in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle R12).
• Generate and analyze planning reports, work orders, and production metrics.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routing, lead times, and planning parameters.
• Coordinate with Sales, Material Buyer, Quality, Engineering and Logistics teams.
• Manage production priorities based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Education: BE/B-Tech Mechanical / Electrical
• 7-10 Years of experience in Production Planning / Manufacturing Planning.
