Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Production Planner to develop, coordinate, and monitor production schedules, balancing demand, inventory and efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Procurement, Stores and Production to ensure smooth production flow.

The ideal candidate has a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical and 7–10 years of experience in production planning, with strong Excel skills and MRP understanding.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech Mechanical or Electrical engineering required.
  • 7–10 years in Production/Manufacturing Planning.
  • Strong Excel and MRP knowledge.
  • Experience coordinating across Sales, Procurement and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Balance production capacity and material availability.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and address delays.
  • Review material availability and coordinate with Material Buyer for shortages.
  • Track production performance against plan and report variances.
  • Generate and analyze planning reports, work orders, and production metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routing, lead times, and planning parameters.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Material Buyer, Quality, Engineering and Logistics teams.
  • Manage production priorities based on customer requirements.

Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products balancing demand, inventory levels, and production efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Procurement, Stores, and Production departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements :

  • Education: BE/B-Tech Mechanical / Electrical
  • 7-10 Years of experience in Production Planning / Manufacturing Planning.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Capacity Planning and Inventory Management.
  • Knowledge of ETO Planning and Execution
  • Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and Energy management systems
