Job summary

Lupin Ltd. in India seeks an experienced Manager - Production to lead API manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will plan and monitor daily production activities, optimize manpower and machine utilization, and ensure adherence to BMR/BPR and regulatory requirements while mentoring supervisors and operators.

Qualifications

• 15-18 years of experience in API pharma manufacturing.
• Masters in Chemistry or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in leading production teams and managing regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, EHS and data integrity.

Responsibilities

Job description

Manager - Production Job Description

Responsible for achieving API production targets while ensuring compliance, safety, quality, cost control, manpower management, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Production Operations: Plan, organize, and monitor daily API manufacturing activities. Ensure adherence to production schedules and monthly output targets. Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources. Monitor batch manufacturing activities and ensure compliance with approved BMR/BPR.

Compliance & Quality: Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data Integrity, and regulatory requirements. Support audits by regulatory agencies, customers, and corporate teams. Investigate deviations, OOS, incidents, and implement CAPA. Ensure change controls and SOP compliance.

Safety & Environment: Promote a strong safety culture across production areas. Ensure compliance with process safety, industrial safety, and environmental regulations. Monitor hazardous chemical handling and waste management practices.

People Management: Lead and develop production supervisors, officers, and operators. Conduct training and competency assessments. Drive employee engagement and performance management.

Work Experience: 15-18 years of experience in API pharma manufacturing.

Education: Masters in Chemistry or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
