Job summary

Rio Clays in Bhuj, Gujarat is seeking an experienced professional to oversee high-temperature production operations in the hot zone. You will be responsible for process control, equipment performance, and safety across kilns, dryers, and related systems.

The role requires 8–12 years of hands-on experience in cement/clay/mineral processing environments, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and downtime reduction. This position is based on-site in Bhuj with shift-based responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in high-temperature / hot zone continuous-process manufacturing.
• Experience in Cement, Clay, Minerals or similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Hot Zone operations and ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, airflow, feed rate and fuel consumption.
• Operate dryers, burners, furnaces, kilns, and hot-air systems safely.
• Manage start-up, shutdown and emergency handling of Hot Zone equipment.
• Drive process improvements, debottlenecking, and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and QC on equipment and quality issues.
• Oversee shift manpower and maintain strong shop-floor discipline.
• Ensure PPE, safety, housekeeping and SOP compliance in high-temperature areas.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring Hot Zone breakdowns and deviations.
• Control fuel/energy consumption per ton and improve thermal efficiency.

Job Summary

Responsible for complete high-temperature production operations, including high-temperature process control, equipment performance, production output, fuel efficiency, safety, manpower and process stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Hot Zone operations and ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor and control critical parameters such as temperature, pressure, airflow, feed rate, fuel consumption and process stability.
• Ensure efficient operation of dryers, burners, furnaces, kilns, hot-air systems and associated equipment, as applicable.
• Manage start-up, shutdown and emergency handling of Hot Zone equipment.
• Identify process abnormalities, overheating, blockages, temperature variation and production losses and take immediate corrective action.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining required quality and process parameters.
• Control fuel/energy consumption per ton and improve thermal efficiency.
• Minimize downtime, breakdowns, wastage, rejection and process losses.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance and QC teams for equipment and quality issues.
• Manage shift manpower, operators and supervisors with strong shop-floor discipline.
• Ensure strict PPE, safety, housekeeping and SOP compliance in high-temperature areas.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring Hot Zone breakdowns and process deviations.
• Drive process improvement, debottlenecking, and automation initiatives.
