Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a Life Sciences discipline.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in formulation pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, process optimization, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, GDP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage production of formulation products such as tablets, capsules, powders, and liquid oral preparations.
  • Monitor manufacturing schedules, machine utilization, manpower planning, and production efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Warehouse, Engineering, and Supply Chain for smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely completion and review of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and optimize manufacturing costs.
  • Investigate production deviations, implement CAPA, and support audits by regulatory authorities and customers.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment in coordination with the Engineering team.
  • Train, mentor, and develop production personnel while maintaining a safe and disciplined work environment.

  • Strong understanding of cGMP, WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
