Job summary

Unilever is seeking a Production Executive at its Silvassa Factory to oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to optimize throughput and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3–5 years of experience in production, preferably FMCG, with knowledge of MES and ERP systems. Shift flexibility is expected to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production) required.
• 3–5 years in production/manufacturing, FMCG preferred.
• Experience leading production teams.
• Knowledge of ISO quality and health & safety regulations.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise production teams, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Monitor production processes for quality, output, cost efficiency.
• Implement Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain, QA, engineering to optimize flow.
• Analyze production data and report KPIs.

Job Summary

The Production Executive is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards within our manufacturing facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise production teams, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Monitor production processes to ensure optimal output, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain WCM and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, quality assurance, engineering) to optimize production flow and resolve operational issues.
• Analyse production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with engineering for repairs and upgrades.
• Identify and implement solutions to production bottlenecks and quality deviations.
• Participate in new product introductions and process development projects.
• Manage raw material inventories and finished goods stock levels in coordination with planning.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven experience in leading and managing production teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and manage unforeseen production challenges.
