Job summary

Unilever's Silvassa Factory seeks a Production Executive to oversee daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure safety compliance. You will lead production teams, monitor processes, and coordinate with quality, engineering, and supply chain to optimize output and cost.

Emphasis on continuous improvement, ISO standards, and MES/ERP usage. The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering background, 3–5 years of FMCG experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production) or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production/manufacturing, FMCG preferred.
• Experience leading production teams and managing shifts.
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations and supervise teams, including scheduling and training.
• Monitor processes for output, quality, cost control, and safety compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and bottleneck resolution.
• Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and engineering to optimize flow.
• Analyse data and report KPIs; manage maintenance schedules with engineering.

Job Summary

The Production Executive is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards within our manufacturing facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise production teams, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Monitor production processes to ensure optimal output, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain WCM and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, quality assurance, engineering) to optimize production flow and resolve operational issues.
• Analyse production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with engineering for repairs and upgrades.
• Identify and implement solutions to production bottlenecks and quality deviations.
• Participate in new product introductions and process development projects.
• Manage raw material inventories and finished goods stock levels in coordination with planning.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven experience in leading and managing production teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and manage unforeseen production challenges.
