Job summary

Cyient DLM, located in Shamshabad, Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Production Engineer (Mechanical Assembly & Cable Assembly) to lead day-to-day production activities in cable harness assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and box-build integration.

You will drive production targets, ensure quality, maintain process compliance, and lead improvements while meeting customer requirements. PMI and related IPC/ISO standards familiarity is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in EMS, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Electronics, Medical Devices, Automotive Electronics, or Telecom manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cable harness manufacturing standards, assembly processes, and quality tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cable harness assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and box-build production activities.
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor production metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes, work instructions, and safety standards.
• Support NPI, process validation, and production transfers.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Train and guide operators to ensure adherence to quality and process requirements.
