Husky Technologies in Chennai, India, is seeking a Production Designer for hot runners. You will engineer complete hot runner assemblies from concept to release using CAD and BaaN, focusing on high-quality, production-ready designs.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work across Manufacturing, Product Development, and Sales to resolve issues and document processes.

Formación

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent job-related experience).
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mold Design with relevant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Engineer an entire hot runner from concept to release for all common molds using CAD and BaaN.
• Maintain high level of attention to detail in all designs.
• Follow well-established design rules and practices.
• Work with manufacturing to help resolve production issues.
• Maintain thorough job file documentation.
• Check others’ work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as improvements.
• Demonstrate and maintain the required quality, efficiency and on-time requirements.

• Work with manufacturing to help resolve production issues.

• Check others’ work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as improvements.
• Demonstrate and maintain the required quality, efficiency and on-time requirements.
  

Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Entry-level 3D CAD experience (NX experience preferred)
• Ability to organize a sequence of tasks on a project to meet commitment dates.
• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality designs.
• Fast learner, and able to listen and accept constructive feedback.
• Able to communicate well with others and convey ideas, both orally and written.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids and stress analysis (mechanical skills).

Qualifications

• Education (Indicate required and/or preferred education for this job)
• BE/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent job-related experience)
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mold Design with relevant experience.

Related Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Mechanical/Mold Design preferred.
