To ensure that every shoot is executed exactly as per script, brand guidelines, and Kuku FM production standards, via on-ground presence, checklist-level monitoring, and tight coordination between creative, production, and post. This person is the “process cop” on set, not deciding creative, but ensuring whatever is approved on paper is what gets executed on camera.

Scope & Collaboration
  • Directors & Assistant Directors
  • Line Producers / Production Managers
  • Writers / Creative Producers
  • Post‑production leads (editor, sound, VFX if any) – Coverage: All Kuku FM shoots assigned, must be physically present on set every shoot day.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Production
  • Break down final script into scenes, shots, locations, and continuity needs.
  • Translate Kuku’s production & content guidelines into clear, shoot‑ready checklists (language & tone, costume & styling rules, brand/legal/safety guidelines, platform‑specific framing/format rules such as vertical and duration).
  • Align with Creative Producer, Director, AD, and Line Producer on script, guidelines, and plan.
  • Flag risk areas (complex blocking, stunts, crowd scenes, kids, night shoots, etc.).
  • Ensure all approvals (script lock, budget, locations, cast, props) are documented.
On‑Set Execution
  • Be first‑in, last‑out at assigned shoots; physically present on set throughout.
  • Use pre‑defined checklists to verify, before each scene/shot, correct script pages, dialogue, scene intent, costume, hair, makeup, props, framing, and format as per Kuku and platform specs.
  • Immediately flag any deviation from script, guidelines or safety to the Creative Producer.
  • Maintain continuity notes for costume, props, positions, actions; capture on‑set photos or short reference videos.
  • Track time usage vs plan and push to keep the unit on schedule.
  • Ensure no unauthorised people in frame and no unsafe setups.
Change Control & Documentation
  • Maintain a simple change log for script/dialogue changes, wardrobe/props/location/blocking changes, ensuring quick alignment and approval by the Creative Producer.
  • At end of each day, submit a short daily production report of planned vs completed scenes, deviations and reasons, and risks or dependencies for the next day.
Post‑Production Handover
  • Provide final lined script/shot list (what was actually shot), continuity notes and best‑take markings.
  • List any approved deviations from script/guidelines.
Join First‑Cut Reviews When Required To
  • Check adherence to agreed script and guidelines.
  • Flag issues that may need patch shoots or trims.
Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Low guideline violations, especially those discovered after shoot.
  • Reduction in reshoots caused by process or communication failures.
  • High percentage of planned scenes completed per day.
  • Complete and usable continuity notes and documentation for every shoot.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience – 3–7 years in TV/OTT/digital video production in roles such as Assistant Director, Production Coordinator/Production Manager, Script Supervisor/Continuity.

  • Comfortable with long on‑ground days and frequent travel to locations.
Culture Fit
