Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an industrious spray painter for our manufacturing line in Maharashtra. The role focuses on spray painting metal components and engines, ensuring proper surface prep, accurate paint application, and adherence to coating quality standards.

The position requires a Diploma in Engineering or related certification, 1–3 years of experience, and strong safety awareness. You will operate paint equipment, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with peers to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • Perform spray painting of metal components and engines per quality standards.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and masking prior to painting.
  • Mix paints accurately and ensure correct coating thickness and finish quality.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain spray painting equipment safely.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
  • Inspect painted components for defects and perform touch-ups.
  • Maintain cleanliness of paint booth and work area.
  • Diploma in Engineering or certification in Industrial/Paint Technology preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial spray painting.
  • Strong knowledge of surface prep, application techniques and coating quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals. Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair. Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Experience:

Minimal or no work experience required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
