Job summary

Fluence in Bangalore seeks a Product Security Architect for AI & IoT to embed secure architectures across embedded systems, edge devices, and cloud-connected platforms, focusing on scalable, secure-by-design solutions.

You will lead AI threat modeling, guide security reviews, and collaborate with engineering to define security requirements for AI-enabled products, IoT hardware, and software supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of product security, security architecture, or embedded security experience.
• Experience securing cloud-connected products, AI-enabled platforms, IoT devices, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, OWASP IoT Top 10, OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, NIST SSDF, and secure development practices.
• Preferred Certifications: ISA/IEC 62443 Expert, GIAC GRID, GIAC GICSP, CISSP, SABSA Security Architecture Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks for ML models, LLMs, AI agents, and AI-enabled apps.
• Lead AI threat modeling, design reviews, and architecture assessments for products and deployments.
• Develop guidance for adversarial AI, prompt injection, data poisoning, and model integrity risks.

Role Overview

The Product Security Architect - AI & IoT is responsible for integrating cybersecurity into Fluence's artificial intelligence, machine learning, embedded systems, edge computing, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. This role focuses on pioneering, implementing, and improving secure architectures for connected products, embedded software, AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent devices, and cloud-connected platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will help strengthen Fluence's secure-by-design approach for emerging technologies by developing scalable security architectures capable of addressing threats targeting AI models, connected devices, embedded systems, APIs, cloud services, and software supply chains.

Core Operations

• Assess security risks associated with machine learning models, LLMs, AI agents, and AI-enabled applications.
• Lead complex AI threat modeling, design reviews, and security architecture assessments for products, projects, and customer deployments.
• Develop guidance for adversarial AI, prompt injection, data poisoning, and model integrity risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with engineering teams to define security architecture requirements for AI, embedded, edge, and IoT solutions.
• Serve as a senior subject matter expert and primary security consultant for AI innovation and disruption to deep tech within the company.
• Mentor engineers and security practitioners and contribute reusable architecture guidance, patterns, and lessons learned.

Security Advocacy

• Develop guidance for adversarial AI, prompt injection, data poisoning, and model integrity risks.
• Define security requirements for embedded systems, firmware, gateways, sensors, and connected devices where AI and IoT converge Provide expert technical support to customers, auditors, and regulators on AI security empowerment and compliance efficacy.
• Make security architecture decisions and recommendations that materially affect assigned products, projects, and customer deployments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8+ years of product security, security architecture, or embedded systems security experience.
• Experience securing cloud-connected products, AI-enabled platforms, IoT devices, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, OWASP IoT Top 10, OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, NIST SSDF, and secure development practices.
• Preferred Certifications: ISA/IEC 62443 Expert, GIAC GRID, GIAC GICSP, CISSP, SABSA Security Architecture Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science with specialization in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience assessing RAG and MCP advanced threat risks and translating them into practical architecture requirements.
• Advanced python coding skills or exploit engineering with machine learning.
