Qualifications

• Experience writing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs in Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of IIoT, OT/IT integration, APIs, cloud platforms, edge computing, and telemetry.
• Experience with industrial applications like FMS, SIC, RTLS, Asset Health or similar OT platforms is highly desirable.

About this role

Brief About the Client:

One of our clients, a global mining and natural resources organization with operations and strategic investments across multiple continents, is looking to hire a Product Owner – Industrial Digital Platforms to drive the development of next-generation digital solutions supporting large-scale mining operations. The organization is investing heavily in industrial IoT, cloud platforms, automation, and real-time operational intelligence to accelerate its digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

Own and manage the product backlog for industrial and mining software platforms, translating business and operational requirements into features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Partner with Product Management to define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and release plans aligned with business objectives.

Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, and implementation teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and Agile ceremonies while ensuring requirements are technically feasible and clearly defined.

Prioritize product features based on business value, customer impact, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines.

Validate delivered functionality against acceptance criteria and support testing, product demonstrations, release documentation, and user enablement.

Work closely with technical teams to define integrations, APIs, telemetry, databases, edge platforms, and cloud-based solutions supporting industrial operations.

Ensure product capabilities align with operational workflows across mining, industrial automation, asset management, and real-time operational intelligence platforms.

Qualifications:

12+ years of experience with 3-4 years of prior hands-on experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Solution Delivery, or Software Development within mining, industrial automation, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or process industries.

Prior hands-on software development experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern product management practices.

Demonstrated experience writing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and managing product backlogs using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of industrial digital technologies, including IIoT, OT/IT integration, APIs, telemetry, databases, cloud platforms, and edge computing.

Experience working on industrial applications such as Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Short Interval Control (SIC), RTLS, Asset Health, Production Monitoring, Process Historians, or similar operational technology platforms is highly desirable.

Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
