CEEW (Council on Energy, Environment and Water) is an independent, integrated policy research institution based in New Delhi. It works across energy transitions, power markets, industrial sustainability, clean air, sustainable water, climate resilience, and sustainable finance, with a focus on India and other emerging economies. CEEW's Technology and AI team builds data-driven products and platforms that support government decision-making on climate and environmental policy.
The role
This position sits within the Technology and AI team and reports to the Technology and AI Lead. The Product Manager owns the AI product program function across a portfolio of platforms and initiatives, including tools such as CRAVIS, disease early warning systems, air quality tools, and hyperlocal climate AI products. The role bridges external stakeholders (central ministries, state governments, enterprises, multilateral organisations) and internal product, technology, and research teams.
What you would do
- Establish and lead the AI product program function, managing a portfolio of products, platforms, and initiatives including prioritisation, capacity planning, sprint cadence, and executive reporting.
- Lead the pipeline from proofofconcept through MVP to production, defining success metrics across both business and technical dimensions.
- Write technically sound product requirements documents (PRDs) with edge cases and acceptance criteria, and build QA frameworks covering data accuracy, model outputs, and UI flows.
- Define and own the AI and agentic product strategy and roadmap, shipping capabilities such as agentic workflows, natural-language querying, forecasting, and interpretable recommendations for government users.
- Define product requirements for multi-agent systems including stateful workflows, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) controls.
- Input into agentic UX design covering structured workflows, dashboards, explainability layers, and control layers (overrides and approvals).
- Define frameworks for agent observability (AgentOps), evaluation (accuracy, grounding, latency, hallucination), and responsible AI compliance.
- Design adoption strategies targeting central ministries, state governments, enterprises, and partner institutions, tracking activation, retention, and depth metrics.
- Build new partnerships to identify features, increase impact, and develop API and data-sharing use cases.
What they are looking for
- A B.E./B.Tech from an IIT, NIT, or equivalent top-tier engineering institute, or an MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIM, ISB, IMT, FMS, SP Jain, or equivalent).
- 8 to 10 years of experience overall, with at least 2 years actively building and shipping AI/ML or GenAI products end-to-end.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Graph RAG, agentic systems, and evaluation frameworks applied in real production contexts.
- Direct experience with modern AI stacks including multi-agent frameworks (ADK, SDKs, LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, etc.), vector and graph retrieval, and observability tooling.
- Comfort with SQL, APIs, and data pipelines, with the ability to debug across data, model, and UI layers.
- A track record of driving adoption and measurable business or policy impact.
- Preferred: experience in climate tech, geospatial or Earth-observation platforms, or public-data systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with GIS and map-based products and satellite data workflows.
- Preferred: prior work with government, multilateral, or mission-driven ecosystems, and familiarity with the Indian policy and regulatory landscape.
- Preferred: experience supporting DPI-aligned products or open data platforms.
