Job summary

Alaan is seeking a Product Manager – Platform to own core infrastructure and shared services that power the Alaan ecosystem. You will define strategy, drive execution, and partner with engineering, design, security, compliance, and operations to build scalable platform capabilities that support growth.

This high-impact role requires systems thinking, architectural judgment, and a data-driven approach to deliver reliable, secure, and extensible platform services for multiple products and teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in platform, infrastructure, enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, developer tools, identity, security, or other technically complex product environments.
• Experience solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems and building foundational systems that support multiple products, teams, or customer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define Platform Strategy & Roadmap – Own the vision and roadmap for core platform capabilities, ensuring they support business objectives, product scalability, and future growth.
• Build Identity & Access Systems – Design and evolve authentication, authorization, permissions, roles, and user-management frameworks.
• Develop Shared Platform Services – Drive the development of foundational services, internal platforms, APIs, workflows, and infrastructure capabilities.
• Improve Reliability & Scalability – Identify bottlenecks and risks, and work with engineering to build scalable, resilient systems.
• Drive Security & Compliance – Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
• Lead Cross-Functional Execution – Collaborate with engineering, design, data, operations, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Use Data to Inform Decisions – Define success metrics and analyze platform usage to identify opportunities for improvement.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager – Platform to own the core infrastructure and shared services that underpin the Alaan ecosystem. This includes identity and access management, permissions, authentication, user management, platform capabilities, and other foundational systems that every product team depends on.

In this role, you'll define product strategy, drive execution, and partner closely with engineering, design, security, compliance, and operations teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure platform capabilities. Success is measured not only by what gets built but by the reliability, flexibility, and long‑term maintainability of the systems you create.

This is a high‑impact role for someone who enjoys systems thinking, solving foundational challenges, and building infrastructure that enables products and teams to scale effectively.

What You'll Do

• Define Platform Strategy & Roadmap – Own the vision and roadmap for core platform capabilities, ensuring they support business objectives, product scalability, and future growth.

• Improve Reliability & Scalability – Identify bottlenecks, architectural limitations, and operational risks, and work with engineering teams to create scalable and resilient systems.
• Drive Security & Compliance – Partner with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead Cross‑Functional Execution – Collaborate with engineering, design, data, operations, and business teams to define requirements, prioritise initiatives, and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Use Data to Inform Decisions – Define success metrics, analyse platform usage and performance, and leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement and long‑term optimisation.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of relevant experience in platform, infrastructure, enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, developer tools, identity, security, or other technically complex product environments.
• Experience solving ambiguous, cross‑functional problems and building foundational systems that support multiple products, teams, or customer workflows.

Strong Systems Thinking – Naturally think in systems, understand dependencies and trade‑offs, and anticipate downstream impact.

Technical Product Judgment – Comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, identity models, permissions frameworks, and technical trade‑offs with engineering teams.

Data‑Driven Decision Making – Use data to validate assumptions, evaluate platform performance, and prioritise investments.

Exceptional Written Communication – Structure ambiguous problems, write clear requirements, and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Ownership & Execution – Thrive in high‑ambiguity environments, take ownership of outcomes, and drive initiatives from definition through delivery.
